Hi members,
A new feature has arrived, making listing pets and collaborating within your team even easier!
Draft mode will enable you to start creating a pet’s listing and save it as a draft! The draft won’t be viewable to the public until you hit publish. This feature has been created to help folks in your organisation seamlessly work together to create pet listings, and save time for the important, life-saving things!
How will draft mode help you save time?
-
We know that often when listing a pet, you may not have all the critical information required upfront. Draft mode means you can start a pet’s profile with the information you have and save your progress to return to later. Away from your computer and have photos you want to quickly upload from your phone? With draft mode, you can easily start creating a pet’s profile on your phone and upload photos directly instead of having to upload to your computer.
-
Streamline your organisation's processes by mobilising your foster carers and volunteers to start creating pet profiles with the information they have on hand (like photos and personality information). Then other team members can quickly jump in to complete and publish the profile once they have all the required information.
Note: Draft listings are only viewable to group admins and the person who was assigned to the listing. If you’re a group admin and would like a foster carer or volunteer to complete and publish a draft listing, you can simply assign the listing to them. For assistance setting up your group permissions, please contact us at members@petrescue.org.au.

Do you have team member(s) dedicated to only profile writing? Now they can start a new listing using draft mode and with a huge added bonus; access the AI Bot to assist with saving time with creative pet profile writing!
How to create a draft listing:
-
Jump in and click ‘create new listing’ on your dashboard to start creating a pet’s profile as usual.
- The only fields you’ll need to complete to create a draft listing are ‘name’ and ‘species’. Note: the Species field has moved and is now underneath ‘name’.
- Click the ‘save draft’ button once you’re ready to save your listing as a draft.
-
View and edit your drafts in the Manage My Pets page. The “draft” status will be available in the sidebar, letting you see all your draft listings.
- When you’ve completed the listing, and you’re ready to make the pet available, you can hit the “publish” button in the edit form or change its status to “active” on the Manage My Pets page. Doing this will also finalise and validate the listing entirely, so it will tell you if you’re missing any information.
- Existing listings can also be turned back into a draft at any point except if the listing has enquiries. Once enquiries have been made for a listing, you’ll no longer be able to go back to draft status.
